Homemade speakers sound great!

My camcorder's microphone doesn't do justice to the outstanding sound quality of these homemade bookshelf speakers of unknown vintage. The bass is rich and powerful, the midrange is full and detailed, and the treble is sparkling crisp!
Whoever built these speakers used really high components that are very well matched. The quality of the cosmetic finish isn't that great, but the sound is all that matters to me. A peek inside reveals really huge magnets on the woofers, which explains why these speakers are so heavy for their size!

Impressive woofers for their age. Bet they would sound even better with a db matched textile dome tweeter instead of the PA style piezo.
Nice set of speakers.

the woofer is PHILIPS..... try the same speaker with a PHILIPS amp, you get better sound.... I'm sure !

The tweeters are Piezoelectric. If original vintage, likely motorola.
