I just love Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. I used to see them at the Uptown in Philly. The shows were 50 cents for the matinee and 1.50 for the night shows. I would come early and stay late. My mother would send my father to get me out of the theater.

@Glamrma lol, excuse my choice of words. And I'm sure you're no old hag ;) I say, keep playing that beautiful music your grand kids will eventually appreciate it. I used to only listen to rap and R'n'b growing up but that was in the 90's and I still love that music! However, my parents were never the kind that used to play music at home except from my dad playing some Elvis now and then, hehe. So I've had to discover everything on my own, would've loved to have someone to show me and teach me..

@AlovesMJ I am an old hag and you are right. It was a great time for music. Worth every minute. What are the current kids listening to????? rap makes me want to gaga. My kids fortunately still love the good stuff, Marvin, Smokey, Beatles, Hendrix...Unfortunately, worried about the grandkids. One is going to be okay but the 11 year old likes rap. I still love him though but maybe he'll get less that the other one in the inheritance....just kidding.
