Five Hours!! I put in 30 Minutes into one side of my knife and thought that was a lot. I can't endure that kind of concentration, I need to be doing different things to keep interest.

Bk2 is too big for that precision cutting. And the ceramic knife could cut so much smoother with some more stropping

You Did eat tomato ?:D

@virtuovice well i believe there is unfound performance there ! it must be ..how could a 3/4 height do literally no better then a full height convex..
thats an impossible statement, especially since no one has tried it,
i have to totally disagree with you, because my new full height convex will prove to be a better edge guaranteed! however im sure there a reason no one has done it! i searched for hours and have not found a full height convex bk2 anywhere ..i will be the first, i guess..

That maybe true, however, I may have the first full height convex bk2 on YouTube :)

Kato ,,,, i am concerned about the way your fingers and hand is so close to the cutting edge when you slice tomatoes and whittle a stick ,, please be careful
Have you tried the bk9? I know it's a large blade, but would like you opinion on it

@campcomp00 No. We have blade length limitation by law. Which is 6 inch cutting edge at maximum. Thanks.

Wakou, in the future, we must look at full height convex on the bk2! I understand it's a job that must go over weeks, however to achieve the maximum performance out of this knife! We must do it! I'm starting mine today! I must do it!

@ryanrrx In my honest opinion the saber convex grind is enough for the BK2. If you do it, you must be the most convex addicted person in the world. Take care!

Nice video. Thanks a lot.I like that you started with tomato's because most of ppl think that knife for the bushcraft has to be one that you mainly cut the wood with, while you need to prepare food, skin animals, break stuff, even perform surgery and many more things as well. I wondered if BK2 is something for me but now I know it is not.I will go for smaller, thinner, lighter knife made from stainless steel.

@bwhsamick As a knife the BK2 is too large and heavy. And as a chopper it is not very strong. It is a compromise between the two. If you need a knife, Scandi zero grind or Convex zero grind knife is much better in wood jobs than V edge knives. In full tang knives Bark River rampless Gunny SS or Enzo Trapper SS is good. If you don't care about the tang construction, some Mora or some Helle will be good in my experience. I personally don't like Fallkniven's bevel geometry very much. Thanks!
