Swamp Thing: The Animated Series

Based on the DC Comics series, this is the story of a brilliant botanist, Dr. Alec Holland, who invents an amazing plant-growth formula to end world hunger. Unfortunately, when evil genius Anton Arcane and his Un-Men henchcreatures try to steal the formula, they blow up his lab and send Alec Holland, covered with flaming formula, fleeing into the swamp. There, deep in the primeval muck, the formula begins to work, combining Holland's body and genius intellect with the swamp life, creating Earth's only hope . . . SWAMP THING!

@stainshield Kinda like "Captain Planet" meets "Ben Grimm A.K.A. The Thing". Respectively, one is environmentally popular, the other has a realistic down-to-earth attitude (and can't fly).

I don't see why he only had to last 5 episodes.

i also LOL that they used "wild thing" and turned it into an awsome rock intro for swamp thing, i actually prefer this version over the "wild thing".

WOW i havent seen this show in forever! i still have the videotape i used to watch when i was a kid, i had some of the action figures from this show, like that blue octopus thing, and i think a swamp thing figure, and that dr whatshisname that turned into a prune face guy. maaan this brings back soo many memories! also is it just me or did anyone used to think swamp thing kinda looked like batman? i never watched the swamp thing movies but i remember the cartoon alot! haha that rambo guy!:D
