Wait people, we do know that it is grammatically wrong but let's go beyond it. The director wanted to underline more the differences between the black people and the white people, at that time. So, here it is shown a cultural difference between them : while black people didn't have education, white people did.

Try to get the things deeper.. Peace out.

Viola had a wonderful relationship with this little baby girl! I loved this moment. Historically as an African American woman my relatives were domestics or "Day Workers" some spoke like Viola did in the movie and some did not. The young generation whether college educated or not sound pathetic at best. I have met with my children's teachers and they spoke in slang and used improper grammar. It is not a "race or color" trait!
