The Republic of Korea Air Force is made up of 65,000 regular personnel and has recently purchased F-15K aircraft with the F-X fighter program. KAI has currently developed the KT-1 and T-50/A-50, and has plans to develop the KFX indigenous stealth fighter aircraft by 2020 (there have been rumors that this program has been canceled; there has been no official statement on such a cancellation).

I really like South Korea's transformation after the total devastation of World War II to the present. Japan had a very early economic take off due to its massive possession of gold which was used to purchase technology fom the west particularly the United States. So as we can see, Japan was able to launch its bullet trains in as early as 1964, much earlier than the other countries. But again, I like how Koreans have worked hard to achieve this economic miracle.

@SirHungryHippo Economy will not always stay above the grown. We will never know when it will slip down and we have to start all over or clean up the mess. For S. Korea who knows when N. Korea will attack and bomb your nation. If that happen, and S. Korea's economic growth will go down and you have to rebuilt the mess again. Going back to the history, Koreans in general was devastated and occupied by many countries in the past. Japan wasn't "the only" country.

I don't know if you knew about this but Japan and the Western Civilizations needs to create a new economic growth that no one has ever established in human history. S. Korea is just catching up with Japan and Western Civilization in which that is good. After when S. Korea catches up with them, I'm sure that they will face a down fall of Korean economic growth.

@30kkom because japan had a HUGE headstart...they were after all the first asian country to be "westernized" by europeans.

Even today, if you knew anything about economics, you would know that japan's economy is shrinking because of weak exports in manufacturing and in agriculture (because of fukushima)

South korea still has a solid growth rate and is forecasted to become much more wealthy

Dont forget that korea was devestated twice...by japanese occupation and then by the korean war

Did you know that the animation porn, and cartoon porn started in US. The US is still a leading nation of porn. It may sound stupid to you, but have you ever been to Las Vagas Porn Show. US is still the leading nation of Porno more than Japanese. So over all with what your trying to say has to do with marketing strategy.
