Simple animation created to simulate each letter of the eBay logo having its own personality. My first attempt at animation and modelling in 3DS Max. Renders were stitched together in Premier Pro.

Would love to re do with better rendering, lighting and also most importantly add sound effects for each 'character'

  • Hi Benny great really good! can you sell it to ebay?

  • @lyndasihra Thanks! I don't know? I've not even thought about that! Would be nice though! :P

  • nice, looks great, but what's the concept?

  • the idea was to give each letter of the ebay brand/logo a character/identity and animate from that

  • Nice! How did you make the e fall/roll at the end?

  • The E goes along a path and has a setting that makes it tilt in relation. The path effectively looks like a snail (so it gets smaller and smaller). I then very quickly replaced the round 'e' with the actual ebay one. To get the roll looking right i calculated the path of the e and made it rotate that amount relating to its circumference. I had no idea how to use reactors etc so this was the easier option! =]
