They're both expansions of the two main parts of the original solo. James just keeps the intro going and develops it, Kirk expands his solo to the point where the guitar sounds like it's screaming in pain as it's being cut open. If you ask me, Kirk's sounds plainly amazing, though I miss the intro (They removed from this one to separate the solo's further). It just sort of jumps in the solo, you know? No build up. But still, I love Kirk's version, especially on that second to last pull off
