You are by far one of the most original, talented 'acts' on YouTube. I'm a huge fan of this sort of music, and I find it amazing how instead of parodying or paying tribute to a musical genre you actually create something new and innovative and seem to sit comfortably amoungst artists now long gone. Your voice has a little Chet Baker in this video. Keep up the videos please! THANK YOU

Thanks for your kind words. I just heard Chet Baker on KGIL Beverly Hills 1260 am
and his voice was so refreshing. I'd like
to have heard him do some LPs, ala Sinatra in the 40's. Lots of strings with
beautiful standards. I like coming up with
different avenues to write about, like
Christine Moore FBB. It turned out to be a
soft, jazz oriented bossa nova. As i was singing it I was feeling a Four Freshmen vocal group treatment. Which also was
close to Mr. Chet Baker. Thanks, Johnny.

Sorry to pester your again Johnny, I just wanted to ask you - You mentioned the Four Freshmen, are you familiar with June Christy. And if so, do you like her? I'd consider myself one of her biggest fans, and am just eager to speak to others!

June Christy had that husky jazz sound that's unbeatable. Her years with Stan Kenton was her training ground,.
.A jazz classic. Thanks, Johnny August.
