On pacifism & pacifists.

Non-violent movements have a poor track record. The few successful cases ( Gandhi, Martin Luther King...) are misleading, since they were backed up by the threat of violence by allied movements.

The antiwar movement has indoctrinated itself with a number of pacifist delusions. For instance, the belief that peaceful protest ended the Vietnam war, instead of the armed Vietnamese and the high number of violent rebellions among US troops.

  • @arvoreen73 The main thing he's criticizing is the concept that peaceful protests work. Occupy Wallstreet is a peaceful protest that's further degenerated into a "club" for college kids to hang out at. I'd say I'm right.

  • @KawaiiDesuNekoBCSK

not really, if you want occupy wallstreet to be what this guy is talking about in this video you have to have the protesters grabbing guns and weapons and start killing police/politicians and those in power

  • @mphello so there are only two solutions: To stop giving birth or to starve? wrong.

  • @IWantToUnderstandIt Overpopulate and starve people? Are you crazy?

  • @boosomentity

    = violence begets violence.=

Bullshit. There is no proof of that. Not if you kill enough of the opposing side.

It is the free choice of the opposing side in a conflict to fight back.

The other side does not "cause" them to choose.

Exactly the same thing with prison. Your false assumption would imply prison begets prison, because once the prisoners are released, they fight back and put their opponents (judges, cops, guards) into prison.

  • Leftist "nonsense" makes FAR more sense than rightwing philosophy.

  • There is NO difference between going to war vs putting someone into prison.

They are both negative actions forced onto the other side.

Hence, it is bullshit to say "war begets war". Not if you kill enough of the opposing side.

It is up to THEM to choose to fight back, the same way it is up to prisoners to fight back, then enact laws in THEIR favor and put their former prison guards and oppressors into prison.

  • Could not find the beginning of the threat between SteampunkPagan vs LeviathanOrb.

Didn't need to. Soon as I saw LO's assinine brainless shitheaded conflation of Nazism (which is EXTREME RIGHTWING FASCISM) and socialism (Karl Marx's), that ended my search right there. LO = is a brainless fuckhead.

  • @ey1990e Of course. Gandhi is a moron. If he mathematically modeled his fighting-or-fleeing strategies, quantified the amount of pain inflicted upon the enemy and compared that to the pain inflicted to the soldiers on HIS side, i.e. do exactly the same kind of formal analysis that militaries do, then he would have something of value to say and deserve respect.
