A christian is only a true christian when he lives in fear of god and until then, he is under judgment of the Lord who, with omnipotent power can destroy us all and send us to the pits of hell as Jonathan Edwards has correctly preached. Hell is eternal as it had been created that way and cast into hell are the sinners which we all are.

@BlehGastly It is also important to note that all religions that exist force participants to rely upon their own merits, their own lives in order to attain salvation (or the equivalent thereof). Every religion, that is, except for true Christianity. True Christianity invites individuals to trust in the merits of Jesus Christ for salvation. No man, no woman, can do enough to earn the favor of God. We will always fall short. It took the perfect Man, Jesus Christ, to provide the Way.

To all those under the delusion that God's wrath is not real and that damnation and eternal punishment for rejecting God does not exist and is against the "simple truths" of the Bible, answer yourselves this question.

Why did Jesus Christ, the very Son of God himself, proclaim the reality of God's wrath and the extreme danger of Hell to a much greater extend than he proclaimed God's love and mercy. For God's mercy to be mercy, there must be something he is giving us mercy from.

@ianhutch2089 indeed Jesus died for the sins of the whole world but most of the world will not accept the gift of eternal life God offers through the trusting of His Son by Faith. Instead they spit in His face.

@Romankrikov We also forget what else Jesus said in reference to the Galilieans who were killed by Pilate and also the 18 killed by the tower in Siloam, "but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." (Luke 13:2-5) Jesus came as a man to bring salvation to those who trust and treasure Him as their savior and Lord but He will be coming a second time (Rev 22:12-13) to bring judgement where your life will be revealed for all to see where every idle word is recorded and judged. Rev 20:11-15

I now see how so many people are so easily deluded into this worship from an early age. Scaring children and youth with threats of damnation is just pathetic.

Honestly I was taken back a bit, I put myself in the shoes of someone form the colonial period and couldn't help but understand how afraid I would have been of these words. It's sad to know that things like this are still so easily fallen for.

@Romankrikov That does not mean He is not a righteous God. We cant always preach about love and heaven. We have to preach the good news of the gospel. But Most people dont know the bad news. That they are about to fall in hell without Jesus. why is it that when you tell someone the gospel they dont seem interested? Because in order for the good news to be good, they have to know the bad news.

This is SUCH B.S.!!!! Jesus is the perfect representation of Our Father and look like he acted around people! He loved them all and accepted them as they are! That is the Heart of Our Father!.... You guys listen to Jonathen Edwards but forgot what Jesus said... That the father gave him all the power to Judge but, that He didn't come to Judge anyone! Thats JESUS saying it! GOD IS LOVE! and He Loved The Whole World! and LOVES EVERYONE! so stop believing this B.S.!!! Grace and Love is What GOD is!
