Some tough immigration questions were asked during an Arizona Kyrene School District Governing Board of Supervisors meeting, May 12, 2009. They stonewalled, so more questions were raised on July 14th. The supervisors were asked some of the same questions but with more specifics. They were asked what law prevents the schools from asking the immigration status of students and how many illegal alien students attended Kyrene schools, and how much they cost taxpayers. The board deferred to their lawyers. The lawyers recently sent letters that said there were laws, but they never said which laws.
Rae Waters was put on the hot seat, and she didn't handle the pressure very well!

This would be a very good forum for Russell Pearce to make his case for his proposed Arizona law that would require schools to report how many illegal alien students they have.

Way to go Rob! I hope that you as a taxpayer will eventually be able to break through the Kyrene School District stonewalling. I hope that you are able to have Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce address the school board in some capacity. That will be an interesting event! :-)
