I am a Pole myself, a kind of auto-critical type. I haven't seen the movie yet but after seeing the trailer I won't oppose to what is shown there. Because of country's location Polish people experienced centuries of military, social, political and other kinds of conflicts. In consequence, people start aimlessly fighting with each other causing insignificant problems. They aren't violent, because they are intelligent Europeans, they aren't strong because they are lost.

Chyba twoim prymitywizmie i biedocie intelektualnej! Ludzi studiują, piszą książki, i robią filmy o obcych kulturach w każdym cywilizowanym kraju. Na tym polega dialog intelektualny - ja ci powiem coś o tobie, ty mi powiesz coś o mnie, i poprawimy siebie nawzajem.

Potrafię podejść do tego tematu samokrytycznie i samemu wiele rzeczy mi się nie podoba w naszym kraju, ale kręcenie takiego filmu przez osoby, które w ogóle nie mają pojęcia nt. naszego narodu, które montują taki prymitywny materiał jak ten, świadczy tylko o prymitywizmie i biedocie intelektualnej tych zakundlonych Hamerykanów.

What EXACTLY is this film about?

IS it about the dirty word "Polack" and trying to find the origins of the nasty joke, to try to find who is responsible for starting it and continuing it and the racism toward Poles, as the website claims?

Or is it, as reviews and the trailer, hints at, an accusation against Poles of being homophobic and perhaps "deserving" being victims of the "Polack" joke? Because that's not true.
