  • 'She was so drunk at Frankfurt!' Hahaha

  • read POLAR CITY RED by Jim Laughter and don't laugh! Unagented by the way!

  • Hilarious... How about a sequel? A series?

  • boring sincere answer: do lots of internships (usually unpaid) and networking. There may be much photocopying and you might be poor for a while but if it's a good internship it'll be invaluable in terms of skills and (more importantly) your CV. And with the networking it's not so much who you know socially as who you've managed to impress/not piss off too badly - editors have long memories and love to compare notes!

  • Q: how does one become an editor in this day and age?! [i'm being sincere, could someone answer me? ]

  • Debbie Downer's here! Oh sorry, Daniel Downer.

  • Cute, but perhaps a bit sexist? There actually are some male editors. I'm one, for starters. This would have been even funnier with a realistic gender balance.

  • LOVE! This is hysterical!! Love CATS WEARING CLOTHES! :)

  • Very funny. I've been out of publishing for 15+ years AND I'm old enough to be these actresses' mother -- but it still rings true!
