Recorded on Route 5 to Wal-Mart. My camera cut off midway during the recording (due to low batteries), so excuse that. I recorded this bus on the northern portion of the 5 (Fashion Square-Albemarle Square-Wal Mart).

This is a 1998 New Flyer D35LF with a Detroit Diesel S50 engine and Allison B400R (4-geared) transmission.

  • They didn't even need refurbishment! These buses ain't have a lick of graffiti anywhere on them. The interiors were so well maintained that they still look fresh now, even after almost 12 years!

  • i feel u on that, shit they coulda refurbisshed them

  • @GRTCrid3r

It's because it's the "FTA recommended" age to retire them. I feel you, it's a waste of money to retire perfectly good buses.

  • @GRTCrid3r: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

  • btw go lithium ion battery

  • thats one thing i dont understand. these buses is no more than 12 years old and they r still in good condition. ytf would they retire thsese buses just like the 900' in grtc and the flx 100's & 300's

shit they still had more time left to me.
