How to Install the Gevey Sim (Troubleshooting Guide)

Gevey Sim Troubleshooting (ONLY FOR IPHONE 4 )
[Depending on which Gevey Sim you have it can work on baseband 2.10.4, 3.10.01, and even 4.10.01 ...if needed i will update with future basebands]

1) Make sure u turn ur Wifi's OFF and 3g OFF (Battery must not be below 20% or else the "Low battery" message may hinder the unlock process )
2) Make sure ur Lockscreen passcode is DISABLED (VERY IMPORTANT, This is because the welcome message may not appear if you have to enter your 4 digit code. To prevent that just temporarily remove it until you unlock the phone then you can re-lock it afterwards.

3) Now power down your device...

Step 4 is the most important step! You have to do this VERY QUICKLY or else it wont work.

4) As soon as the Lockscreen appears, slide the slider right away as fast as you can AND WAIT!!!! DONT DO ANYTHING for about 10-15 secs. If u weren't fast enough ur signal will say "Searching" ...if so restart & try again!

5) Once the welcome screen appears.... press "Accept" and wait for the one bar signal to appear.

6) Dial 112 (wait no longer then 1.5- 2 seconds) then hang up ---dont wait too long
(Note: If your receive a "no sim available" message now then you have to done it wrong and must restart phone and try again from step 3)

7) Go to settings... turn on airplane mode and turn it off right away.... a "message failure" message should appear
8) Wait for about 45 seconds or so and a "Sim card Failure" message should appear [This is a good thing =]

9) Turn on airplane mode and turn it off
(It should start "Searching" for signal; Your service provider should now appear....which means your phone is now unlocked)

Note: In this video I used an international sim so At&t appeared instead. If I used a T-mobile sim then T-mobile would of appeared =] hope that clarifies things

@Viper11220 yeah will i bought one from ebay and got it put it in and it said no sim card :/ and my sim card is already cut and you have to cut it just a little more which i did and tried turning off and stuff still no sim card could it be that i bought a crappy gevey?

@matterdj @matterdj okay well there are a few web sites in mind but it all depends on you. If you want to take a risk but buy it at a cheaper price then go for eBay. If you want to minimize the risks but are willing to pay more then go to applenberry's website. Its under store/gevey-sim/gevey-ultra . This GeVey is called the Ultra GeVey sim; it will work flawlessly without needing to jailbreak your device. If you have any question regarding that GeVey sim please let me know.

@matterdj  sure, i do have a question before you buy the Gevey sim though; What is your iphone 4's firmware? Is it 4.11.08? As of now if you're on the iOS firmware 5.0 or 5.1 or if you're baseband is 4.11.08 then unfortunately its not unlockable and the Gevey sim will not work.

@sazin2supreme the Dev team hasn't informed anyone on the unlock yet. If it does come out then yes, it will most likely be available via Cydia just like the previous unlocks. However, this is just a speculation and any of this info can change at anytime. Sometimes the Dev team and other individuals help collaborate and that may further speed up the process. If there is any new information I receive you will be the first to know. I will keep you posted =] thanks for asking.

@Viper11220 Thanks for replying back but i think i have tried that and the gevey welcome shows back up but when i try to redo the whole process it just shows invalid sim and does do anything could it be my gevey ? if so do you know where to get a really good gevey sim i could buy?
