The English word 'death' originally meant simply a separation. I have been separated from the Southern state where I grew up for 15 years now. I miss it very much. But this song reminds me of that time and place. It also reminds me that no matter how much I may feel out of place in this life, there is always a place near God's heart where I do 'belong' and am not out of place. This song is one of the few things I still have that is 'in place' with me.

I love this song big time because when you face heard times then you remmber the good times you had with your loved ones I sang this at my frieands funeral in the black hills and I had such peace after I had sung this song it was like she went up there after I got done singing it and felt her hand on my sholder saying thanks for showing me home I wont for get that look she gave me when she passed on GOD BLESS YOU ALL Lets all FLY AWAY with him home some day

@rubshop30 All are worthy, God did not send His Son for the saints but... the sinners...even the woman who was caught in the midst of committing, she was caught in the very act, they brought her out to be stoned to death, Jesus told them he who is without sin to cast the first stone, well they all split and left the woman there, Jesus told I do not condemn you, go and sin no more.
So your half way there we are all not worthy, so you repent of that sin, and try not to do it again...
