MPH Speed Run (Any%) -- Segment 12 (Oub) -- FINAL TIME: 1:16:33

This is the fastest I have ever done the Gorea 1 battle, and it may just be the record for fastest battle against the first phase. I'm not sure what the best times are, but this was pretty darn fast and could be considered flawless. I don't think this segment could really have been any faster.

So, I ended the run with 1:16:33. I beat my goal, which was to get under 1:19:30, and managed to break a new record for myself; this was faster than any run at the game I've done unrecorded, and I'm quite astonished I was able to reach the 1:16 plateau. Looking back at this run, I'd have to say that 1:15 is possible, though would require a minimal amount of hunter and guardian appearances, and would need to have the same speed elsewhere from this run. Getting lucky in both areas is a rare occurrence, and I don't think I'd be able to get much below 1:15, if I could even reach it in the first place. Then again, I previously stated that I thought sub-1:18 would be impossible, so I guess time will have to tell whether or not we'll see a MPH any% run go below 1:15. =)

This speed run will be submitted to Speed Demos Archive (SDA), and will replace my old MPH any% speed run located there. The category any% means completing the game under any circumstances with any ending completion percentage. Glitches, sequence breaks, and out of bounds techniques may and will be used in this run because they are currently accepted the majority of the speed running community.

This was a speed run, in which the purpose is to beat the game as fast as possible. Beating Gorea 2 in a speed run category of "any%" would just add time and be pointless.

Very nice. I beat both forms in a combined total of 3:41. A minute and a half for each form. My fingers bled for a week as a result.
