He has been my hero for 55 years. He was a great baseball player but an even greater human being. I grew up listening to Stan on the radio and still have my scrapbook of his many feats with the Cardinals. Pujols conducts himself very much like Stan. Both are great men but Stan will always be the "Man". He was the perfect knight.

Surprisingly, despite his towering reputation with statistic-based aficionados of the game, many common fans are unaware of his achievements, leading ESPN and other organizations to list him as the most underrated athlete of all time.

Stan will always be the man. Its so sad that not many fans today know who he is. You have to be over 60 to remember this man when he played. I mean he wasn't a power hitter but he could get the ball in play and getting EXACTLY 1,816 home and away he did his job. Selfless, Kind, and a true man, Stan Musial is one of the greatest first basemen of all time. I know Puljois is great but he's got a LONG WAY to go before he can even fill Stan's shoes.

The greatest Cardinal ever. Albert is great, but Stan is "The Man." Albert even said on ESPN moments ago.

Ruth was so damn strong. If you're able to swing a 54 oz. bat at one point in your life and hit bombs with it, you're supernatural.

Read, "The Year Babe Ruth Hit 104 Home Runs," it's a great book.
