I'm not in the gang o' crypts like the Cryptocoryne Society...but I can see why it exists. I'm digging comparing crypts and am looking for your opinions and knowledge about crypts. I love my wendtii probably most right now, Spiralis spreads all over, Parva hasn't been rocking like I had hoped but is still sweet. Tell me what crypts you like and why, send me a link or video of your crypts

  • Dustin do you have any extra duckweed, i need some for my newly set up dirted tank.

  • I have a large cihilid tank and my plants have alge all over them What clean up crew could i put with them???!

  • I didn't see any blue rags on your crypts haha just kidding.. I grown them before

  • my Q - algae on plants..how do you prevent it?

  • Java fern is a begginer plant for sure..brilliant stuff

  • @Dustinsfishtanks C. Parva needs temperature 22-28C. From what I know, you don't have heaters in your tanks. Same for C. Lucens. Rise the temperature and Parva will be bumpin' a thick jungle in 6 months.

  • Cryptocoryne wendtii !!! An awesome plant just bomb proof. The darker coloured varietys are just gorgeous too

    !

  • crypt wenditti (sp?) is my fovorite

they grow really fast and can also get pretty tall

  • @TheMyerslmtim Same. but my Amazon Sword is taking them over.. soon the Dwarf Sag will too.

    Love the Crypts thou

  • @Dustinsfishtanks my tank is kinda lower light, but it's got lots of nutrients in the substrate (dirt, eco complete, iron tabs), and some DIY Co2 on it. It seems like none of my plants like to send runners out. They are growing nicely, but it looks all scraggly since they are not filling in the bottom.

Any tips as to how to get a good carpet growin??
