Avalon Air Show 2011 Simulated Combat with CAS

A simulated combad experience at Avalon Air Show 2011
Starts with a hot drop of RAAF special forces from a Blackhawk. The special forces suppress a simulated enemy, and FA-18 Hornets are called in for Close Air Support, strafing the field. The special forces pop smoke and call the Blackhawk back in for a hot extraction. Finally the FA-18 fly over and mop up any remaining enemy.

The Sound wasn't load at I was there recording the same thing but with a better camera and job.. But I used a really good mic and the sound in my video is about how loud it was. My son, Friend and me was expected a lot bigger bang and was hoping to feel the sound be we didn't. The Movie World in Qoueensland was a bigger big then that.. But it was a good day thro..

@TheStorm79 well im glad you did a better job cos mine was a cheap compact camera. As for loudness.. I had the troops right next to me fireing small arms.. and that was loud... I see from your vid you were quite a bit away so you probably missed out

Lol getting a bunch of F/A-18's to drop bombs a few enemy soldiers =P I love the airshow. This was on the Saturday right? I was talking to one of the Super hornet pilots at the time, when I heard the guy call it out on the speaker. I left soon after but by the time I got down all I saw was the black hawk leaving. In 2013 i'm gonna go 2 days, first day i'm going to just check out all the static displays, and for the second i'm gonna spend the whole day at the runway point, so I don't miss it.

@Monztaful I felt the huge thumps when i was entering the stands and the lady had to old on to me as i went in sudden shock. We just laughed at the end.

@oem42 I was there till about 3 or 4 so i didnt see this, but the B1 was scheduled to fly earlier, and as far as im aware it didn't fly that day, unless they flew the second one back from wherever it went? but the one on the ground appeared to have hydraulic fluid leaking from the landing gear?

@oem42 There was no flying display of the B1 on Saturday since it got damaged on Friday and repaired at Tullamarine. I'm still upset I missed it because of that.
