Why are you going around various Steinberger videos dissing this guitar?
If you don't like the guitar, then don't watch the videos.
It's too bad you don't like it though.
The Steinberger, especially the Synapse) is ONLY the most critically acclaimed guitar line on the planet.
Oh well. It's not as if winning Guitar One's "Platinum Award" means anything.
I am disappointed. I would expect better from a 'professor' who can't even spell associate correctly...

I bought it for the balance, feel and sound. I don't think I will ever get a diff brand. I find it redicilously comfortable. So obviously you're not correct in your statement.

The Steinbergers with the modified full Strat-style body were created by Mike Rutherford and his guitar tech. That's why they were called the M-Series — for "Mike."
Rutherford created them because as amazingly tall as he is, he looked goofy playing the original L-Series.

I will sell every single other guitar I own before ever sell a Steinberger. What amazes me is that so many young guitarists have never seen a real Steinberger before.

Steinberger guitars and basses became very popular in the 1980" s and the headless design was widely copied too .

Looks out of the 80's

I used to laugh at these, right? Well, about a week ago, I borrowed one from my singer, and he'll have to fight me to get it back! LOL!!!

Trottel.
Does anyone know why Ned sold Steinberger to Gibson? Surley he didn't do it for the money. I'm guessing it's because after the 80's hardly anyone was using anymore.

He never wanted to run his own company. He just wanted to design instruments. No one would build his designs so he had to start his own business. He really didn't care for many aspects of it - which you can see in some of the PBS On Key segments. When Gibson came calling he jumped at the chance to sell to them. It allowed him to focus on design.
