What is happening in Michigan is a travesty and a disaster. Completely ignored by all candidates for office, and Obama as well as national media. Even the sainted Ron Paul is silent because he doesn't care if a state goes private and takes people's democratic right to vote for elected officials and, at least theoretically, have some accountability. This is one more example of the reality of the state of affairs in this country, no difference between candidate A and candidate B. Seems the socialist (SARCASM) Obama doesn't "care" about the unions in Michigan. And Ron Paul doesn't care if Michigan turns Soviet.

I've followed Ron P for years, and Ted has it to a T. When your core beliefs are that the State has no business in the matters of the people, then it MUST follow, that corporate power is free to do anything, and will crush the working middle class without the protection of either the State or private Unions.

God, it's so F'ing simple, and even transparent, as I'm in Fla. and just witnessed the wholeSALE election of the biggest corporate shill of all time Mitt R. it's obvious ppl are slaves!!

@freedomlover4422 - I won't argue the condition exists that propping up weakness breeds more of the same, but this is not the rule. And it is worth it to the industrialists to recognize the importance of a workforce not victimized by unscrupulous practices. China is have labor riots now, as are other countries where the working suffer.

As to min. wage, the point that's eluded our discourse is the GOV actually IS the people's reaction to victimization. Or it used to be, and should be again.
