Yul Kwon For Resolution Calling on Japan to Apologize

Yul Kwon of "Survivor" introduces two testimonies from women who, as girls during WWII, were enslaved at Japanese military rape centers known as "comfort stations." He supports House Resolution 121 introduced by Congressman Mike Honda calling on Japan to unequivocally apologize and take full responsibility for the crime. When a tragedy of this magnitude occurs, it is not just Japan or Asia's tragedy; it is a HUMAN tragedy. The value of human dignity and human life is meaningless unless it is extended across race lines without prejudice. 10 million lost their lives in Europe during WWII. 10 million lost their lives in Asia. Why should these tragedies be remembered differently?

victims actually want recognition from the japanese governmen as victims of this crime. they were KIDNAPPED, not CONSCRIPTED. There were "comfort women" who were Japanese after the WWII (a fact that not a lot of people know about) who served American officers. There wasn't a lot of reliable sources I could find, so i didn't know if it was voluntary (however reluctantly) or forced like the various women during WWII. Anyone have more info?

The voice of millions of voices crying out for justice means nothing to them. It's not just Japan, it is many other governments. Spain has raped and pillaged many countries before hand. The Philipines, the South americans; many more. Germany has done the same to the Jews during world war 2. North Koreans do it to anyone that denies Kim Jong Il. The reperations of the comfort women is the first step. All they want is an apology directly from the perpetrators.
