I have the Saitek Switch Panel and 60% of the time that i use the panel the starter ignition/magneto switch crashes my FSX when i put the starter switch to "START". As i only really use Carenado aircraft i have only noticed it on these but i believe it can happen on default aircraft as well but i have not tried myself as it wouldn't really accomplish anything. I have googled the problem and i have resulted in using 'S.P.A.D' Saitek Panel Advanced Driver on version 0.4.1. This did help a lot but has not resolved it fully if anyone can offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I recorded this off my HTC Incredible S.

  • At least you have something to cheer you up when it closes ;)

  • @pilotdrummer95 Very true lmao :D

  • hmm, can't say i have saitek products. haven't heard very good reports especially using their radio column. if it's not to late, i would try to get my money back from saitek and look elsewhere. if that's not an option, search forums about your problem. i can probably tell you that carenado has nothing to do with this problem. it's most likely saitek. anyways, probably not much help, but i do like your desktop :) -cheers

  • @kramerdc9 Thanks for the comment mate. Yeah i was thinking the same thing, just send it back and get my money back. Although i fly the Carenado 114 Commander a lot and the panel works great with that aircraft i think ill just keep it. I know its not Carenado its FSX and Saitek not working in harmony. I am using SPAD which is like a more stable version of the Saitek driver and they keep updating the driver so maybe they will finally be able to iron out any bugs. Thanks for liking the desktop.

  • @shaunwark Are you still having problems with the Saitek Switch Panel crashing FSX. I had this problem before and I know I saved the link to a forum somewhere to resolve this, now it works fine. It had to do with something in the configuration manager file, let me know if you want me to find the link if you need it, good videos by the way, later.

  • @Raven06001 Ohh Please send me the link i still get the crashing in some aircraft it would be cool to see if it resolves it. Thanks :)

  • @shaunwark here's the link forum.avsim.net/topic/341076-saitek-switch-panel-problems/

When you hit ctrl/alt/del to go to your system config in windows, drag any files that have FS9 with Saitek in them to your desktop. Let me know how it goes.

  • @shaunwark Will do, I'll look for it now, may take a sec.

  • @pilotdrummer95 Say no more!

  • @gryffindorhouse122 lmao everyone loves the desktop background :D
