  • @Lokivoid Wow, it would suck for me to have to pull up to a parts store in my mustang and order a part for a vortec.. that'll land me clean into the fail catagory HAHA. But a heck of a good tip though

  • @stangredemption

Cheapest route is simply going down to a junk yard and pulling a TBI manifold, harness and ECU off late 80's to early 90's vehicle with compairable block size. If you take your time shopping around yards and do not mind remanning/restoring the parts you pull it off for less than 500US.

MPFI: Multi-port Fuel injection (Direct injection, one injector per cylinder). Most modern vehicles use this system.

  • @Lokivoid OMG you are so right on the extremely overpricing my goodness. Not knocking on the system but man, I would have converted to that system if it wasnt for the price of buying 3 new Holley Ultra Pro Carbs... What is this MPFI you're talking about? I heard that's the "new" efi to modernize with.

There really not bad all in all, Good fuel economy over a standard carbs (Though a CC carb is a good inbetween). Overall there great for street vehicles under 500hp, that want to maintain a stock apperiance. Otherwise a converting to MPFI/CPI or at min swapping to a TBI manifold is a much better option. Only real drawback with EFI carbs is most manufactures have them insanely overpriced for what the are (In order to maintain there standard carb/part sells)

  • Fast systems are not as "great" as people say. But great for when you have a burnt up, beat up, old run out stock wiring harness.

  • Sure seemed like you had to crank on it for a bit before she started....??
