Ondoy - Pasig City Sunday afternoon promenade

Filipino folks are amazing, they will face even the worst disaster with a smile and a shrug, and then just get on with it. I was amazed at the variety of "craft" that passed my front door in the space of a few minutes. Dont be fooled by all the smiling faces and friendly waves here, there are people in the city in dire straights and who really need help, this typhoon caused some serious damage and a lot of people are now homeless, wet and hungry. This sequence was shot during a brief respite on Sunday afternoon where the sun out came for the first time in several days. I was one of the lucky few in this area, my appt was not flooded, but many houses in the area where either submerged or washed away.
