  • well it was a diesel gala

  • I like Sheds but agree there's no comparison with the days of old when it comes to sheer mad variety. BTW, did anyone ever like the cab front design of the Warships? Hard to believe.

  • Does anyone have information on what the Metro-Vick Co-Bos engine sound was like? I would really appreciate any info. I only ever saw one D57xx in service, at Crewe (in 1967), and that was in the distance. Seeing the class 66 in this video reminds me of just how different things are today. Back in my youth, the locomotive variety was fantastic, and although steam was in it's last full year, the number of diesel classes was actually still increasing. Oh for a time machine!

  • those bastard sheds get everywhere!

  • nice but not sure about the class66!
