Argiocnemis rubescens (Variable Sprite) is uncommon in Singapore. It is a confusing species due to its age related colour variation. It is found in ponds and marshes at forest edges.

In this footage, a group of Argiocnemis rubescens are foraging in the forested area near a pond. One of them caught a mosquito and consumed it in about 20 minutes.
