It's embarrassing for me to admit this, but if it saves even one person from a cooking disaster, it's worth it.

Please, please, please stay in the kitchen when you are cooking something.

  • One night I was making chicken stew and I kept checking back and forth from kitchen to living room until I totally forgot and sleep through the night leaving the stew burned fortunately my sister found it still cooking until Dawn and turned it off..... The whole house was in smokes and took ages to get rid of the smell.... So dangerous BTW I just found out I have ADD... Not medicated yet though :(

  • I actually liquefied taco hard shells once when I was broiling them to make them crispy...liquefied...they weren't a solid anymore...

  • Ava, you are very welcome! :-)

  • yes that is my rule, too

-to take whatever work that can be

done to the side of cooking,

with me into the kitchen, and take care of it

at the kitchen table - so at least

if I do get sucked into something

else and forget time (usually happens numerous

times a day) at least the smell of

things should get me back to check the stove ;)

    - I really like your videos Doc, thank you for posting!

  • Thanks for the tip! I have started doing this, and no more eggs flambe. :-)
