Yes I agree that Bruno Ganz and Der Untergang were a far better movie and made a far better presentation of Hitler, but dont blame Hopkins please, he did his job by the script that was written for him.

The VHS version is better, This one has had the sound played with, and the background music taken away to downplay the effects. That's what power the media has.

This is like watching Japanese anime with english dubs.... not the same. Bruno Ganz as Hitler in Downfall is much better.
