@mycenaean1 : Your welcome ! I double-checked it on the BMW website, just to make sure I don't say something wrong. And yes: The Z4 is a brilliant car !
thanks for your quik answer. you are correct, a friend mine also told me that the M on z4 only deals with details and not power and it is not worth expensive. any way z4 is awesome!
@mycenaean1 : Thanks for your comment ! Of course the manual is a better choice and I always recommend manuals in my reviews. The rims are a bit small, I agree, but this was a rental car and most of them don't have a big amount of options...I don't know of a real M-Version. The Sdrive35i replaced the Z4 M. With M Sport-package you are looking at bigger wheels, suspension and some styling details for the interior such as the M-Steeringwheel, but no other engines ! Hope that helps...
hello. very good and simple video. in my opinion it would be better with the 19'' rims and of course manual. its more ''fair'' for this car to be manual, personally I prefer manuals for many reasons! furthemore if you know please tell me what is the substantial defference between the ''simple'' one and the M sport one.
The AMG verison of SLK is like a beast compare to the SLK350.
You really gotta test drive the car. For straight road it makes you feel like you're sitting in a small rocket. But the handling was a bit disappointed. Not as sharp as the BMW and not nearly as good as the Porsche. The thing is that they give you a very nice tuned sound and speed. Although they're not as sporty as the BMW or Porsche but they're very comfortable to seats for cuising compare with the BMW or Porsche.
@TheMusicandlyricz : When I drove the new SLK, it felt nothing like a Z4 or Boxster to me. The one I drove also had an automatic, the 7G-Tronic plus, not the AMG Speedshift plus 7G tronic ! That should make a huge difference. I think the AMG must be a nice car to drive and has a fantastic sound also...I would really love to review any kind of AMG car, but I didn't get the chance yet and couldn't rent one either. I don't like the regular Benzes..I'm a BMW and Porsche guy ;-)
Myself owns a C4S with PDK and I believe the new SLK has the new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which will give the car more sporty feel. I would prefer the AMG verison for guys or ppl that are more into speed/acceleration.
I would love to have a Porsche and a Mbenz as the second car. You can have either sport/comfort.
@TheMusicandlyricz : I agree with you on the Boxster, but SLK is way too soft and comfortable for me. Doesn't really feel like a pure roadster and the automatic is hateful. I think the SLK is a car I would give my girlfriend and I would either choose the Z4 or more likely the Boxster...BTW: I tested a Boxster S too, check out that review if you haven't already and thank you very much for your detailed feedback !
I've tested drive the new Z4 3.5is when it first came out. The car seems alittle too heavy overall even with the extra 35hp on the 3.5is it still feels bit too heavy. It may also feels like the 135i. Personally I would prefer the new SLK or 2012 new boxster if you really want a nice refine roadster. SLK is more luxury with the new magic sky option that's alittle better than just the hardtop converitable. The new Boxster has more agilty and handling. New Z4 is sitting at the embarrassing point.
@TheGetawayer
i will go next month to the bmw delegation in my country for test drive the 35i. i hope that the driving feeling will be good.
