Travis Orbin - Periphery Playalongs - "Sinus"

I'm 'in between' sessions at the moment -- with a freshly-repaired EQ unit -- and figured I'd construct a Periphery playalong, since this has been on deck for nearly a year.

When I was with the band, Misha expressed possibly opening a set (instrumentally) with this tune. I notated/composed parts back before I had Guitar Pro, so I had to excavate (lulz) my old Periph loose leaf charts and program them into GP to present an updated chart.

The tempo change is kind of awkward and I made it even more so, but this is my video anyway (*said with a whiny kid's voice*)! Breaking it up also allowed me to tune my snare down for the second bit of the tune, since it's slower; it's super cranked in the beginning. As a side note, I think these are the best-sounding tom-tom tones I've yet achieved!

Next is "The Walk" featuring Chris Barretto! Don't hold your breath though, as I've a pile of session work to tend to quite soon.

Disclaimer: In an attempt to stave off potential ignorant comments as I've received in the past, I felt the need for this nigh preposterous disclaimer. I am doing this for myself and for the sake of posterity. I put countless hours into these parts (composing, practicing, etc.) and wish to share them with everyone. I play at Seacrets in OCMD with my band Star69....we know Ryan the soundman really well who knows you. Stop out some time and we can do a hang of sorts.
