IBEW Inside Wireman with almost 24 years as an licensed Master Electrician and I have been in Union auto plants (GM, Ford, Chrysler, Corvette, ad infinitum) and Rat shops (Toyota, Subaru, Honda, etc., etc. ad nasuem) and I must say that the difference in manufacturing techniques and management styles is night and day between American (Union) and Japanese (rat) auto-manufacturing and assembly facilities...NIGHT AND DAY! The quality of American made automobiles is still unsurpassed and let's not

Also, GM ships in parts made in Mexico & other countries, we have to put it in the cars and get called lazy and bad work. The workers tell you its crappy stuff but the bean counters don't care. They want to make their bonus.

First of all my husband lost his job at GM in Ohio he was IUE Union. I have family and friends who work at Honda in Ohio & comparing wages they make as much if not more due to better benfits and perks.
