  • Nigerian government should find ways of preserving stuff like these........so we have something to show our children, that Nigeria once had good music.

  • I did not know this great maestro has passed on to the great beyond. Listening to his music as I have often done, I never knew he was physically gone. I remember him as a boy, and always comparing him to another maestro, Sir Victor Uwaifo. Yes, he will be missed by those who appreciate his message-packed music. This man impacted the world with his music. Like Mariam Makeba, he fought political injustices and neocolonialism in Africa. He was a hero and still is, even in death. RIP great one!!!

  • Great music of yester years.Remember when these songs came up on old NTA especially on weekends.

  • Sunny Okosun, You are a Hero and will remain a Hero Forever; May Your Gentle Soul Rest In Perfect Peace, Amen!

  • The music evokes very sweet memories but one could certainly do without the grainy video.

  • Simply awesome. One of the many wonderful old school African musicians who never got his due. Rest in peace, great man.

  • God bless you for posting this one oo, this one has been playing in my head all these, never knew it was here. "Onegenege Oneguselu" Man infact you too much, 7 gbosa for this post.

  • Damn I miss this. NTA special before the news. RIP ur music was touching n good.

  • damn i just found out he was dead! RIP

  • Even before Ronald Reagan called for Gorbachev to 'tear down this wall', referring to the Berlin Wall. This great Nigerian icon call on the powers that be to "break down the wall", referring to the policy of Apartheid in South Africa. Growing up all these music was mere entertainment but listening to them now, it shows that a great deal of Africans were silent in the midst of oppression, starvation, corruption, etc.

  • thats naija for you...they only recognise u when ur dead and buried. dont be sending me flowers when am gone. rest in peace
