african americans are fine. sjsu is very diverse. great school. great environment. lots of food around!

you'll find alot of asians in the bay area. Most people are respectful to the minorities. Asians are the majority population in some areas.

No, African Americans are very much a minority but since there is so much diversity here, they are treated like anyone else. Of course I cannot say for sure because I am not African American. Just from my 25 years of observation here. In the Bay Area, I think Oakland has the highest concentration, but you don't want to live there if you have a choice to live in the South Bay.

i am thinking of moving to san jose soon but i have a question. Is there a significant amount of African Americans there, and if not how are they treated.

wow you mean 30,000 plus students going to school near resdential nieghborhoods all up and about with city workers and small business owners have trouble finding parking. IT'S MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!
