I have a 22 mag and a 17 hmr I personally have shot Both guns with and without wind the 22 mag and 17 are comparable in the wind and as for price in rounds a box of 22 mag shells are 14 bucks here and 17 hmr are 17 to 20 bucks I have shot coyotes out to 400 yards with both guns but will only shoot head shots at that distance I have an old 22 lr with a 5-15 power scope on it that I have shot coyotes with out to 200 so if anyone doubts the power and killing capability don't there more then enoug

@joeblo86 hey what model savage is that never new they made a 22 lefty also 22 mag is good on wallbies too thought head shots and centre mass which i would espect with the coyotes too
