I took my 1978 and restored/ modified it to look like a '71. Complete dismantle, media blasted frame, epoxy primed, and finished in Dupont Hot Hues catalyzed urethene. Color: "Neptunes Jewel". Every fastener was replaced or restored. Original chrome parts were buffed and polished including the handlebar mount. Installed a new 110 cc engine with 12 volt system, all new lights, switches, controls, brakes, shocks, bearings, chain drive components, levers, cables, etc.
I want to thank Barry for polishing my parts and Tom for letting me use his spray booth. You can see both of their cars on my homepage.

  • @TrainTracksChad

  • I have a '73 ST90 with a 6v system that I would love to convert to 12v. I can't find anything to help with the conversion. Any pointers would help.

  • @LunaticTim A lot of work and expense. My pointer is, keep it 6VDC.

  • Very nice. I have one that's running but would like to go through the thing from top to bottom. Do you have one favorite parts house you use?

  • Great video! What's the music?

  • cmon, the 78 was the sexiest year because it was all black with cool lookin decals

  • some of the bolts have 8s on them they are worth some money keep them

  • Nice bike... but I would have gone with an authentic exhaust from a '71 version. All chromed out. Also include the grab bar under the seat. Just another small piece of chrome to shine. Waiting on my ST70 to be delivered.

  • im all for original but it wouldve been clever if you painted it rithmans or repsol colors and if they had slicks that small
