Texas Northern Model Railroad hosted a fantrip pulled by restored H1b Hudson 2816 on loan from CP. I caught her as she struggled with a slight, but annoying grade on a speed restricted stretch of track. The urban landscape with lots of level crossings don't allow her to stretch out and run.

  • Thanks. I use Tsunami from Soundtraxx. I use both the standard USRA 6 chime and also a Southern 3 chime, which is what you hear here. I think it's pretty close to what I remember as a young kid. You tell me?

  • It's good for 5 brass passenger cars or 10 plastic ones.

I'm making the auxiliary tender now, and I hope that won't make much difference.

  • Nice!! another great shot!! If you dont mind me asking, Which sound system did you go with? The chuffing sounds great. Will also look fwd to see 2616 with the auxiliary tender. Looking good. WCR

  • Good stuff!

  • I LOVE IT!

I'm gonna have to get out to your club so I can see this loco run in person.

Is the 5 cars all that model will haul, or is it good for more?
