@39smoothgreenday sorry, i disagree. we all love old, green day, there's no doubt about that at all. however, billie doesn't make mike and tre blend in at all. he's not the leader of the band, and doesn't do anything like that. jason freeze is a brilliant guitarist, and when you see them live, having two guitars really makes the sound so amazing. it's still green day at their best. it's still punk rock. i'm not starting an argument btw :)

you know whats funny about people sayin that they sold out and stuff is that they did something so punk it aint even funny!!! They broke the "RULES" of Gilman Street and did what they werent suppose to... THATS THE MOST PUNK THING EVER!!!

@Dongsun24 greenday isnt really punk though, their earliest work had some similar chord strums and drum beats (well before dookie), but that's about it.
