This seems blunt because I don't have any other background info here... is there something keeping you from changing your name? It looks like you've been on T a while. I was on T a while until I finally got it changed so I got that kinda reaction for a while. It sucks.

I'm actually not on T atm and Im open to answering questions so no worries. In fact I appreciate straightforwardness. A year ago I didnt pass as well as I do now and I was less inclined to spend money I couldn't afford to change my name for people to still assume that my first name is female anyways because apparently there are women with the first name Dean and i was easier to read.

Within the past year my appearance has changed along with many other aspects of my life aside from transitioning. Things were hectic but I've been looking into getting a name change and saving up now that I feel comfortable. It's way awkward when the person gets some kick out of knowing.Not that I mind that people know at all but it gets awkward when it's seen as something to gawk at and what not.

Great part I. About to hit up part II. I think that the way you handled those two situations was pretty fair. I guess that I feel that way because if someone is going to open there month and say thing that make them look like a jackass, maybe it is fair to make them feel like one. I don't know. You know?
