Join me on a little outing where I catch bass in a most unconventional way. I call it 'Sweeping' and in this episode of 'Another Walk with Mike' you'll discover how exciting this method can be. I came up with the technique after having bass hit my buzz bait just as I was pulling it out of the water. Finally, after one such strike I pushed my pole back in the water and Bam! A method was born. Similiar to doodlesocking or jigger pole fishing, sweeping is best done from a kayak. Watch my video and see for yourself. It is as exciting as it can be. Also, enjoy my other wildlife walks and nature tour videos.

  • Isnt it just like what they do for pike just less figure 8ey

  • I did that this past summer lit them up with that same method

  • This method would work alot better if you put out a little more line. I would never allow a fish to get that close to my rod tip.

  • I had a technique I used to do but I had to quit for my health. It was the "light up a smoke" just after making a cast. Not as many strikes as your method seen in the video but I caught fish with it. The birds nest method gets a lot of strikes and fish too.

  • You want to see more bass action?? Go checkout c4fishingteam on YouTube. They fish the canals in Miami and have great quality videos weekly. Also check out their blog. It has a lot of useful information!

  • @erecttron what do you fish for? Panfish? lol

  • i am not sure why its surprising this works - its just how many fish you may loose from them being scared off by the boat and your shadow. I mean those fish just happen to be there looking anyway - if you were casting into them you might have even a better chance... I guess i don't see where this is helping you.??

  • これは新しいww

  • @tolpacourt you know what i ment right?? lol . well i guess i deserve to be laughed at and ridiculed for that one! haha. i just gotta say this technique is ridiculous, not rediculouse. haha (thanks to my personal dictionary (tolpacourt) for the proper spelling!) its not much fun hooking a fish with 6 inchs of line out, haha use the other 300 feet you got on your spool. if all you have is a lure and a stick, use this method lol.

  • @erecttron It's spelled "ridiculous."
