UCLA neuroscience student Amit Jain, vice president of the nonprofit Project RISHI (Rural India Social and Health Improvement), discusses the project's recent efforts in the southern Indian village of Vadamanappakkam.

RISHI, which is currently working to create a water filtration system for the village, has already built a medical clinic to deliver primary health care to the community.

Project RISHI is based at UCLA.
