Guess I won't have to worry about getting fried while I sleep...

@yourbooo11 In Montreal.

@ChrisTubed lol, can someone tell my who the heck chuck norris is?
-
@bestruintd Chuck Norris does, one-handed
-
-If Chuck Norris was on the non-hastens bed it wouldnt catch fire-
I like the test but i doubt the relevance. If a fire starts in your home you will die anyway because of the smoke. The only thing is the fire won't start in your Hastens bed. But then again, a bed is no place for a fire to start.

@peanut2587 No, this is a Continental Twin without topper...retail for this bed would be $5,200 USD. The Luxuria bed which replaced the Continental would retail as shown at $3,825. The Continental or the Luxuria has no side stitching. Also the Excelsior has a bit more material and the base is slightly different.
It's a valid test, since a lot of fires are lit by people smoking in bed, and either fall asleep or leave the room, where beds catch on fire. In Scandinavia, Candles are also used a lot more. From a general point of view, I think it'd be useful to simply standardize fireproof bed materials (or at least fire retardants) for everyone's safety.
(think of large apartment buildings in North America built from plywood...)
Nevertheless, Hästens are very comfy :)

@designaid If more beds were made of natural materials you wouldn't need all the chemical fire retardants that many bed companies are using that are harmful for your health. Hastens only uses saline based dye and the wool in the bed also acts as a barrier to the flames. Way to go Mother Nature!! :-)

In Canada, the retail price for a full size Luxuria bed is 9,100$ CND. you would take off 1850$ for the top matress. But why such a big price difference?

@peanut2587 What size bed is that? I have a Luxuria (including topper) at $5,050 in Twin with the topper included. Also, the Continental was priced a bit higher than the Luxuria, by about 22%. The bed that they are attempting to burn is a Continental. The Luxuria would have been much sadder to see go, as it is a much more comfortable bed then the Continental was. (Just my opinion.) Where are you at in Canada?

Why did you cook a $50K bed? Ahh, fun time 4 billionaires..
zellowmicka 2 years ago
Actually this one is under $5K...but there is definately a misconception that all of our beds are $50K. In twin size our beds start at $2,550 USD. I am not a billionaire...yet. :-)
