  • how do you activate the fingerprint sensor?

  • @aandason try looking through HP's included software. you should have some security tools in there

  • Its worth noting that the 2 usb ports near the back are usb 3.0

  • @grimnoob that's only on the "w" models.

  • @wwwgeekdotcom Actually its on both the P and W models. We just got them at work and I can confirm they are USB 3

  • @cnadams awesome thanks for that info

  • Great review. I don't think the unboxing is boring, it adds to the excitement! (for me) and I like seeing exactly how the computer will look if it arrives on my door step.

  • i love the unboxing part!

  • OH MY MY GOSH |T HAS A NUMBER PAD. i want one

  • @Joey245 How would this laptop run starcraft 2?

  • May purchase this. Looks smexy. Got 3 questions though!

    1) Do ALL 8540p elitebooks, regardless of where they're purchased from, come with a 3 year warranty?

    2) Why does it come with a 32 bit OS? I thought 32 bit operating systems could only utilize 4gb of ram at a time, and the system seems to come with 4gb of ram and a video card with 1gb of vram. That's 5gb of ram, so I don't think the OS can utilize all 5 at once?

    3) Dumb question, but can I install Windows 7 64 bit on this instead?

  • The design is so ugly and it's probbly heavy

  • HTC FTW!!!!!!

  • how can i insert my memory card not an sd but like a camera memory card please help!!

  • i have one im sellling it

  • how many usb 3 ports 2 or 3 - I need to download cf cards from my Nikon 3x over a usb 3 card reader and have lightroom write to two separate USB3 external devices

can this happen - is theer a cf card slot

  • @force2013 Oblivion's a relatively old game, so it should work just fine. Crysis and Fallout shouldn't be a problem, since this thing is a graphical powerhouse. In theory, it should be fine. Just be sure to use it for school and not just gaming!

  • is the "display port" and HDMI? And does it output digital audio?
