With support from a 2009 Innovation Grant, San Diego Audubon Society helped transform property on the border between an urban area and wild land into a wildlife habitat garden. Over 100 volunteers helped install a 1.4-acre demonstration native, drought-tolerant habitat garden at a homeowner association (HOA) located next to an area of high ecological significance.
