WELL SAID, buddy!! You hit the nail on its head!!!
Keep the good work going.

the bible is Gods word. all of it, if your not gonna balieve all of it, how in the world r you even gonna believe part of it? that is just simply wrong! the bible clearly says that the author of the holy bible is the holy Ghost, which is God. believing in just a part of the truth and not the whole thing is as equivelent as not believing at all.

tommyboy: foundation of my religion: bible, tradition, logic...i never told you that i disregard the entire bible...i told you that i realize that the bible is not always meant to be taken literally...it was not written by americans in 2008 for americans in 2008 ...one must consider this when reading it... i made my own rules up? if you want to call it that sure... organized religion is some people's made up rules; however, what my religion is based on is not made up.
-
i agree, that was just an example.
what is the foundation of your riligion? its definatly not the Bible, not any book because you told me that a discussion erlier. you have no foundation, there is no solid ground. your like the man that built his house on sand, and when the storm came, it collapsed. not to insult you or anything, but a riligion without a concrete foundation, is only your desire of what to believe, you made your own rules up!
and ther is also much proof of biblical stories, BTW.

not to spoil the conversation between the two of you, but we have good sources that inform us that washington was the first presidens, whereas, many biblical stories were recorded hundreds of years after the events they describe and by people who had very little to go on

lol =) my guns are down. haha. i can see were you would thing that my faith crosses over to stubborness... but there is a fine line between the two. i stand hard as a rock when it comes to defending my belief.
-
no. everyone has faith. for example, how are you SOO dam sure that george washington was the first president? or that it was really Thomas jefferson that wrote the constitution? just cuz teacher teach it, and the history books say it? you have no proof. all you have is FAITH. you believe it happend, your 100% sure it happend. so are you stubborn? no. so faith is the same. I beleive it. and your gonna call me stuborn for wat i believe? i can call you stubborn for everything you believe in too.=)

faith is sure belief and trust. faith is sure of what you hope for and certain of things even if you cannot see them. to have faith in Jesus means to trust him and believe what the Bible says about him.
"If ye believe not that I AM He, ye shall die in your sins." - Jesus Christ, John 8:24
"Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" - Jesus Christ, Luke 13:3
"I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life; no man cometh unto the Father but through me." John 14:6

Your comments indicate that you have no idea what the Bible teaches about sin, death, Christ, and salvation. Please explain why Jesus needed to come to this earth, be born of a virgin, live a perfect life, be crucified, descend to Hell, and be raised the 3rd day. Then I can fully understand where you are coming from and adequately address your questions.
