let me say something here. First white guys did not sing this song. This song was sang by immigrant workers travelling on the all black trains working in the mines that made white africaans rich. Second it was sang to pupolarity by Lady Smith Black mombazo. So i hate to bring race in this but i am offended when i here whites taking credits for song that back then they were beating my uncles, aunties and every freedom fighter for. They were beating my mother for being ANC member. So watch it

they did not sang the original by the way. it sang by travellers working in the mines that the white africaans control. So let me set the record straight. They just stole it like they do with everything that Black africaans do. It is a ZULU song
