He seems to be underrated everywhere which is a real shame. If Herb Alpert didn't sign him in 1973 then Gino was going to give up music altogether and that would've been a tragedy.

This song reminds me of my late husband. He was a tremendous fan of Gino and this song song sounds like he's singing a goodbye to me from heaven....

@amigomontreal1960 Perhaps not underrated in Canada but certainly in America. Yes, he had songs that charted here but he never won any major awards here. There is no book or documentary on him that I can remember. He certainly made some outstanding music.

@tkackley12 that is because gino was smart enough not to go the disco route even though the late 70s was his most successful period.
