Lady J interviews the Ohio players before the Grammys. From left to right: vocalist David Vanderveer Burnett, bassist Marshall Jones & drummer Greg Webster
I didn't know...This band have changed members frequently...There were often new members coming and replacing the departing ones...Thanks for this information.
there must me 3 version of the ohio players today. there is these guys, there's version with sugarfoot and then the third one with billy beck, will the real ohio players of today please stand up.
I don't think she knows who or what westbound records is, or the westbound records era of The Ohio Players(PAin, Pleasure, Ecstacy etc.) But she's doin the best she can.. BTW. Junie Morrison Was that dude... Btw. quiet as kept when Kool & The gang came out in '69 they scared everybody in the industry including James Brown and Sly. That was the real revolutionary sound.
From what I know -but I might be mistaken- the only remaining original "Ohio Player" among those three is the one in the middle, bassist Marshall Jones... the two others are more or less recent (And I think that most of the others original "Ohio Players" have moved to something else long ago....right ?)

Mashall Jones is very articulate! He knows the "FUNK" history regarding the Ohio Players....and a new friend of mine. Keep it alive Mr. Jones.

Thank you SO MUCH, Lady J for this interview...
It is seldom that us Ohio Player fans get to see interviews from them and I absolutely enjoyed this...We need that book to come out!
And Rock is looking great, my main man!
